Please contact us if you are interested in obtaining a glass art piece for Christmas gift giving. Options include Votives for tea light candles, jewelry, coasters, vases and vessels, platters and wall art. Please contact us early as there is often a waiting list at Christmas time.
We do have pieces for sale in our online store. We also sell on Etsy. We sell pieces at Body Barn Wellness Studio in Morinville and in Willows Gift Shop at St. Albert Seniors' Centre.
Although, we have been at the Saint Albert Farmers' Market on Saturdays, we will not be there for the remainder of the season. It's been a great run and a lot of fun, however, we have learned glass and wind do not like to co-exist. This, along with some other reasons, have necessitated this decision. Thank you to everyone for stopping by our booth this summer. It has been a blast catching up with so many old friends. Thanks also to those of you who have purchased a piece of my art at the market. It is very much appreciated.
Glass art will still be available in the online store on this website. Click on "Shop" if you would like to see what is available at this time. There are also some pieces for sale at Body Barn's Boutique in Morinville. There are also a few pieces at Willow Gift Shop at St. Albert Senior's Centre.
Please remember glass art as you start looking for those special little gifts at Christmas time. If there is something special you would like to have me make, please feel free to contact me. I am always happy to make custom pieces.
This summer we are going to be a seasonal vendor in the Saint Albert Farmers' Market. Our booth is #359 on St Anne Street Promenade. I will have a variety of glass art available for sale at the market including vessels, votives, coasters, wall art, platters and jewelry. I also hope to have some clocks and other things as time allows. Look for us and come say hello when you are visiting the market this summer.
What I love about glass is the variations you get with light. One piece is ever-changing as light changes throughout the day. The location of glass art in a room is the decision that will either make a piece stand out or have it fade into oblivion. Most glass looks best either with a light directly above/behind or with backlighting of a window. If you spend the money on an original handmade glass art piece, I'd recommend spending a few more bucks to light it properly.
Here's my latest vessel photographed with different lighting conditions so you can see how light changes the piece.
Joyce is working on the Spring collection of fused glass art jewelry. Although they are not ready yet, here is a sneak peak at what is in the works for the Spring pieces. These necklaces and earrings will be sold at Body Barn Studio & Boutique in Morinville and also online.
If you are interested in purchasing Joyce Sherwin's original glass art jewelry, please visit the online store.
We have just added some great LIME & BLUE necklaces to our online collection of artist, Joyce Sherwin, designed jewelry. If you have a passion for lime and blue together, you will love these cabochons. The necklaces look great on the blue silk strand provided or you can wear it on your own chain of choice. The necklaces come in a box marked with the artist's logo so if you are giving the necklace as a gift, the recipient will know that this is a one-of-a-kind unique handmade piece of art.
I am thrilled to be selling my art work at Body Barn Studio & Boutique in Morinville, Alberta, starting on February 14, 2017. Body Barn will carry a selection of my art, both paintings and glass art, in their boutique. In the past, viewing my art has been in my home studio by appointment only. Now folks will have a physical place to go if they want to see the art on display before making a purchase.
Body Barn will also be carrying a lot of other gift items so it will be worth your while to go and check it out. Check out their wonderful selection of natural soaps. They look and smell awesome and are a great gift for someone you care about.
Of course for those who can't get to Morinville, I will be working on increasing our online store on this site and am still happy to entertain commission pieces, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have a request or a question. If you are ordering glass for a gift for a specific holiday (e.g. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day etc) I suggest you contact me several weeks prior in order to give enough time for the firing of a custom piece.
That's it for now. Thanks for visiting the website. Enjoy your day everyone!
